Abu Dhabi Festival 2015, has lined up the participation of budding artists and philosophers from across the UAE to take part in the festival's newest conversation series, The Cave, to explore the meaning of creativity and its various manifestations and societal consequences.
Organised by the Abu Dhabi Music and Arts Foundation, ADMAF, and hosted by ADF15 as part of this year's Community and Education programme of free events, The Cave is curated by UAE University's Philosophy Department under the festival's theme this year, "Idea: The Seed of Invention".
Hoda Al Khamis-Kanoo, Founder of ADMAF, and the Abu Dhabi Festival said, "At ADMAF, we believe the arts have an inherent value as an investment in individuals and societies. The Cave series looks to examine this belief further by looking at how the philosophical aspects of the arts and other forms of cultural expression have an impact on community development and social ties." Taking place throughout the month of March at various UAE venues, The Cave seeks to engage the public in open discourse and debate with distinguished academic professors and artists from around the world.
