As the prime shopping, dining and entertainment destination in Abu Dhabi, Yas Mall will be hosting several exciting activities for children, families and art lovers throughout the month of March. These activities include:
Art Weekend (March 5th 6th):
Art lovers are in for a treat this month, as Yas Mall is hosting a special competition for students March 5th from 6:30-7:30pm, hosted by popular UAE-based artist Maria Iqbal. Students can sign up at customer service desks in Yas Mall to take part in the art contest for a chance to win some great prizes. Maria Iqbal will then hold art workshops at 8:30pm and 9:30 pm to teach audiences about different brush strokes and techniques.
The competition will be followed by a series of insightful art workshops in Town Square on March 6th, held by local and regional artists including Ahmed Ismail, a young artist and photographer from Egypt and Anood Al Obaidly, a full time visual artist from Abu Dhabi. Workshops will take place at 2:00pm, 3:00pm, 4:00pm, 6:00pm and 7:00pm.
Traffic Week (March 8th15th):
The 31st GCC Traffic Week kicks off on March 8th in the UAE under the slogan Your Choice Determines Your Destiny. Its aim is to increase and promote traffic awareness in order to achieve the future vision of zero fatalities in road accidents through the ˜Vision: Zero 2030
Yas Mall will be hosting a special event across the mall from March 8th to March 15th in line with the GCC Traffic Week to provide visitors with important tips and useful information about road safety.
CSR Tree Planting Campaign (March 17th):
As part of Yas Mall's ongoing corporate social responsibility initiatives, the mall will welcome 100 elementary school children from Aldar Academies schools in Abu Dhabi to learn about the importance of trees and recycling to preserve the environment.
The children will receive a special presentation on recycling, followed by a fun tree planting exercise during which each child will learn how to plant a tree seedling into a small biodegradable pot which they get to take home as a way of commemorating this exciting experience.
Mother's Day (March 19th 21st)
To celebrate this special day, children have the opportunity to express their love and gratitude for their mothers, with special video notes which will be recorded in a special booth at Yas Mall. The mother will then be invited to Yas Mall with their family to view the recording. The top ten messages will receive fantastic prizes from various retailers at Yas Mall.
Color Run (March 24th and 25th)
This year, the #Happiest5k on the Planet is back and will be bigger, better, happier and more colorful than ever before. The Color Run, a one of a kind experience that is less about speed and more about enjoying a color crazy day with friends and family.
Interested participants who purchase their tickets online can pick them up from Yas Mall ahead of the race which takes place on 26th March.
