The Directorate General of Civil Defense at the Ministry of Interior hosted a ceremony to honor a number of strategic and distinguished partners as well as local departments participating in the strategic initiatives. The ceremony was recently held at the Shangri-La Hotel in Dubai.
Major General Expert Rashid Thani Al Matroushi, Civil Defense Acting General Commander-in-Chief, said that all of the Civil Defense staff members are distinguished, and that the honorees are an integral part of this organization that has always been ‘characterized with the loyalty, efficiency and progress’, by customers’ testimony, and has always been appreciated by the higher leadership. He also praised the efforts exerted by the Civil Defense staff members who enjoy an excellent spirit of teamwork; and “endeavor day and night to improve their potentials, skills and abilities to ensure the safety and protection of lives, properties and the environment.
In his address to the honorees, he added: “The development achieved in the Civil Defense services’ structure reflects the Ministry of Interior’s keen attention to this vital services sector. Thanks to dedicated initiatives, loyalty and efforts; we will certainly achieve further qualitative development in the Civil Defense services provided to the public, which will positively impact our daily educational and preventive work.”
Attendees also watched a short documentary film about the Civil Defense Directorate General. Towards the end of the ceremony, which was attended by directors general, heads of Departments, officers, non-commissioned officers, and constables from the Civil Defense Directorate General, Major General Al Matroushi distributed certificates and gifts to the honorees.
