The UAE signed defence contracts totaling AED 3.95 billion on the third day of the five-day International Defence Exhibition and Conference (IDEX 2015), IDEX Spokesperson Major General Obaid Al Ketbi announced on Tuesday.

With yesterday's deals of AED 9.48 billion, the UAE has sealed contracts at the value of about AED 13.5 bn.

Being staged at Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre from 22 to 26 February, IDEX, is the most strategically important tri-service defence exhibition in the world and is the only international defence exhibition and conference in the MENA region demonstrating the latest technology across land, sea and air sectors of defence.
