Marina Mall Abu Dhabi is partnering with the Emirates Nursing Association (ENA) on a three-day cancer awareness campaign, which will take place on 26 to 28 February from 5pm to 9pm at the Exhibition Area of the mall. This event will be free and open to all shoppers.
The initiative is being hosted to commemorate World Cancer Day, which took place earlier this month. There will be a wide range of activities to inform the general public about cancer prevention, detection and treatment. These include expert panel discussions with doctors from the Sheikh Khalifa Medical City (SKMC), information about different forms of cancer, such as breast, skin, lung and blood cancers along with free consultations and general check-ups for blood pressure and sugar levels. Other activities include film screenings, children’s carnival, photography corner and competitions with prizes to be won.
Ayesha Al Mehri, President of the Emirates Nursing Association commented, “We are pleased to partner with the Marina Mall Abu Dhabi on this vital campaign around cancer awareness. ENA is committed to educating people about the importance of early detection and provide accessible opportunities for them to take part in screenings and consultations. Working together with the Marina Mall Abu Dhabi on this campaign allows us to spread our message to a wider and more diverse audience.”
Bruce von Kaufmann, General Manager of the Marina Mall Abu Dhabi said, “We are delighted to collaborate with the Emirates Nursing Association on such an important cause. We hope our shoppers will enjoy the different activities that will take place during the campaign and be more informed about the causes and prevention of cancer. In-line with the mall’s “Let Hope Shine” CSR initiative, we are dedicated to support health initiatives that benefit our visitors and the larger Abu Dhabi community.”
