The Strategy and Performance Development Department at the Naturalization, Residency and Ports Affairs Sector, organized a practical workshop on the design and development of operations project for staff of the Directorate General of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Abu Dhabi.

Colonel Salim Ali Al Qattam Al Zaabi, Director General of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Abu Dhabi said: “The workshop reflects the aspirations of the police leadership to implementing the policy and approach of the Ministry of Interior in the field of continuous development and improvement of the services provided by the ministry and its various sectors to customers the and achieving their satisfaction.”

Colonel Al Zaabi added that the workshop tackled the updated map of operations, the performance indicators and the means to link them to the strategic goals of the 2014-2016 strategic plan. The workshop also discussed a number of other practical applications on the means to customize indicator cards and calculate targets.

Heads of departments, chiefs of sections and a number of male and female staff members from the directorate participated in the workshop, which was recently held at the Emirates Institute of Naturalization, Residency and Ports.

The Directorate General of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Abu Dhabi also organized another workshop on achieving sustainable organizational excellence. The workshop, organized in cooperation with a specialized company, was held at the Emirates Institute of Naturalization, Residency and Ports, and attended by a number of officers and staff members.

Colonel Al Qattam said that the workshop tackled the features of excellent institutions, the definition of organizational excellence, and the role of leadership in achieving organizational excellence by considering the fundamental concepts of excellence as key principles to govern the management system at the Naturalization, Residency and Ports Affairs Sector at the Ministry of Interior. 

The workshop also discussed organizational excellence standards and reviewed the historical evolution of the improvement, quality and excellence methodologies, as well as the components and enablers required to achieve sustainable organizational excellence.
