The UAE is set to host the 11th Corporate Registers Forum in Abu Dhabi from 9th to 12th March 2015. The conference, entitled "Corporate Registration as a Driving Force for Entrepreneurship", is being held for the first time in the Middle East and is organised by the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development, ADDED, in collaboration with the Corporate Registers Forum, CRF.

The opening ceremony will be attended by Ali Majid Al Mansouri, Chairman of ADDED, Tim Moss, Chairman of the CRF and a number of officials from the UAE. More than 250 leading figures and economic experts from over 60 global Business Registration entities are expected to attend the forum. An executive committee meeting of the Corporate Registers organisation, and a Joint Presidents Meeting for CRF, European Corporate Registers Forum, ECRF, and The International Association of Commercial Administrators, IACA, will take place a day before the opening ceremony.

Sessions of the first day will focus on the important role of corporate registration in economic development as a necessary first step for entrepreneurship, and one of the most essential services that should be provided to investors. As for the second day, experts will discuss best practices of corporate registration in the Arab world, as each of the them lead a different system of business registration.

The "Unified Identification Number" is the main topic of discussion on the third day. This session will cover the experience of different jurisdictions by setting up an unified identification number in order to easier access information and exchange legal information as well as lower the bureaucratic procedures.

"Open Data and Access to Data via Smart Mobile Applications" will be discussed in the fourth day. The session will emphasise the importance of providing investors and businessmen with the data needed for corporate registration by using smart-phone application, ICT, and web-based solutions. These solutions help in reducing the time and cost for business registration as well as to improve access for smaller firms operating at a distance from the registrar's offices.
