The Directorate General of Police Operations at the Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters honored 171 distinguished officers, non-commissioned officers, staff members, and community members who provided achievements, initiatives, and implemented proposals for the years 2011, 2012 and 2013. During the ceremony, which was recently held at the Capital Police Directorate’s auditorium, the distinguished staff members who received the Minister of Interior’s Excellence Award in its third edition in the Director General category were also honored.
The honoring ceremony was attended by Brigadier Omair Al Muhairi, Deputy Director of Police Operations and Chairman of the Employees Recognition Committee; Brigadier Maktoum Al Shareefi, Director of the Capital Police Directorate; along with directors of police stations and a number of officers.
Brigadier Al Muhairi praised the unrelenting efforts made by the distinguished staff members who submitted their proposals and hailed their valuable participations, which complement the march of success and excellence at Abu Dhabi Police. “Such participations have achieved positive results in the efforts to combat organized crime; in pursuance of the police leadership’s directives to implement government excellence standards and support the process of creativity, innovation, and development among employees and clients,” he said.
Moreover, Brigadier Al Muhairi highlighted the police leadership’s attention to building qualified and creative human staff, by providing them with the necessary resources, notably rehabilitation and training tools, and by encouraging initiatives and motivating creative staff members. He pointed out that the Employees Recognition Committee at the Directorate General of Police Operations reviews and analyzes the proposals and creative ideas submitted for the sake of developing police work; in order to achieve the objectives of the Abu Dhabi Police GHQ and implement these ideas in the different fields of police work.
Adding further, Brigadier Al Muhairi said that developing personal excellence skills and qualifying creative employees are the key objectives of the Abu Dhabi Police GHQ in the journey towards further excellence. “Such honoring is one of the most important factors to achieving job satisfaction, which is the goal that the Abu Dhabi Police GHQ seeks to spread among all of its staff members,” he noted.
Towards the end of the ceremony, certificates of recognition were distributed to the officers, non-commissioned officers, and staff members who delivered great achievements. A number of community members were also honored for submitting distinguished initiatives that enhance the efforts to achieve the coveted goals and aspirations.
