Emirates Motor Company (EMC), Mercedes-Benz authorized general distributor in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, received four notable awards from Daimler Middle East & Levant (DMEL) for their outstanding performance in 2014, and has also announced a significant increase of 39% in Mercedes-Benz passenger car sales in Abu Dhabi compared to 2013.

At the event, Mr. Kamal Rafih, General Manager of EMC, commented, “We are truly proud of this year’s record achievements and are delighted to have been recognized at a splendid ceremony by DMEL. In particular, attaining the Highest Sales Ever for the second consecutive year, the Best Growth in Retail and the Highest Customer Service Satisfaction Index (CSI) score among Mercedes-Benz general distributors in the region are evidence of our commitment to continue excelling and reaching new heights.”

Additionally, EMC deservedly obtained the Best Corporate Sales Award in the region owing to various strategic partnerships throughout 2014 with private and governmental organizations.  Most recently, EMC tied up with the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, and earlier in the year with the National Bank of Abu Dhabi, as well as Abu Dhabi Police and Europcar Abu Dhabi all of which reiterate the company’s position as a market leader.

“We have noticed that specific models this year have gained more popularity than before, especially in the sports utility vehicle (SUV) segment which saw an increase of 44% in 2014 compared to the year before. Besides the Mercedes-Benz classes we are used to seeing sweep the market off its feet such as the luxurious S-Class which rose by a massive 196%, the stylish A-Class also witnessed an exponential boost of 156% in 2014 compared to 2013,” continued Mr. Rafih.

Looking ahead, EMC has recently collaborated with Daimler Financial Services and Al Hilal Bank emphasizing its efforts in guaranteeing peace of mind and convenience to its premium clientele in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi when it comes to financing their vehicles. New developments are in the pipeline for the first quarter of the year which will include a launch of the Bespoke Studio Zone, as well as new integrated service contracts for customers.
