Monday, March 9, has been declared as a holiday for the private sector to mark the birthday of Prophet Mohammed (PBUH), according to a circular issued by UAE Minister of Labour HE Saqr Ghobash.

The circular added that "The Ministry greets President HH Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Members of Supreme Council Their Highnesses and Rulers of Emirates and UAE people, on advent of Prophet Mohammed’s (PBUH) birthday."
