MOI’s Child Protection Centre Organizes "Nurturing Children for a Developed Nation" Activity

The Ministry of Interior’s Child Protection Centre has organized an activity entitled ‘Nurturing Children for a Developed Nation.’ The activity aims to educate mothers on the importance of raising their children properly, for in turn, they will build and develop their country. The initiative reflects the interest of the Ministry for ensuring that each child receives attention, care, and a proper upbringing.

The Centre invites mothers, housewives, and nannies, to take advantage of this activity that will take place at the Police Officers Club in Abu Dhabi on Tuesday at 6:00 pm.

Major General Dr. Nasser Lakhrebani Al Nuaimi, Secretary General of the Office of HH Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior and Chairman of the Higher Committee for Child Protection at the Ministry of Interior, said: “Every successive advancement and achievement of the police within the field of child protection comes within the context of establishing the UAE both as a leader and as a pioneer in this field.” 

For his part, Major Dr. Mohammed Khalifa Al Ali, Director of the Ministry of Interior’s Child Protection Centre, said: “This activity was created under the partnership between the Ministry of Interior and the concerned authorities. The Child Protection Centre cooperated with the Abu Dhabi Education Council (ADEC) and the Irtiqaa Center for talent development with the intention to prepare a promising generation that will both build and sustain the future.”

Major Al Ali added: “This activity comes as a result of concerted efforts towards achieving sustainable security and stable family life. The activity will focus on several issues, mainly: ways to build children and protect young generations against delinquency; raising awareness for mothers regarding their role in building the country; developing the self-esteem for mothers in order to optimize their role with their children; and introduce supportive methods and tools that aim to motivate and nurture the new generation in unleashing their potential energy that will works towards achieving the desired goal- which is to become a leader and to develop the homeland.

This activity will include a diverse program to bring additional benefits to the activity. For example, the program will include a realistic scenario of a child calling to his/her mother in the form of a song, alongside a specialist training course regarding the proper ways of upbringing.”

Major Al Ali commended the cooperation of the partners from both government and private sectors. He said: “This cooperation reflects their role in jointly facilitating methods to provide for children and to raise them in a way that equips them to face future challenges. These relationships assist in not only supporting child protection efforts but in building the country.”
