H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, has said that the Emirate of Sharjah implements the strategic plans in cooperation with the Executive Council and all public institutions to set up educational, social, tourist, investment, industrial and economic projects in cities and areas of the Emirate to ensure welfare of citizens and expatriates as well.

Sheikh Sultan made the remarks while meeting with the members of the Executive Council, heads of departments and other senior officials in the presence of H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, and H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Deputy Chairman of the Executive Council.

The Ruler of Sharjah hoped that the year 2015 will be a new era for development, excellence and innovation in the UAE, adding that the Emirate of Sharjah is ambitious despite its limited resources. He cited that Sharjah city has been named the Arab and Islamic Cultural Capital, and the Arab Tourism Capital.

Sheikh Sultan commended the initiatives of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan to settle the default loans of the citizens. He added that the Emirate of Sharjah also established a commission to settle debts of the citizens in Sharjah.
