Leading Lebanese television presenter, former UN Goodwill Ambassador for Environment Conservation, and current Ambassador for INTERPOL's Turn Back Crime campaign, George Kurdahi will grace EcoWASTE 2015 as the guest of honor, the event’s strategic partner Center for Waste Management - Abu Dhabi (Tadweer) announced today.
Scheduled to run from January 19 to 22 during the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week (ADSW), EcoWASTE 2015 will showcase next generation waste management and recycling solutions. The event that is expected to draw more than 2,000 buyers and key industry experts as well as 50 leading global companies is co-located with the World Future Energy Summit (WFES) and International Water Summit (IWS).
His Excellency Eisa Saif Al Qubaisi, General Manager of Tadweer, said: "We are delighted to host an eminent media personality of George Kurdahi’s stature for the upcoming edition of EcoWASTE. Kurdahi’s presence will help highlight our efforts to protect the environment, promote sustainability and identify lasting solutions to the challenges of sustainable waste management.”

A well-known media personality across the Arab world, George Kurdahi has participated in many lectures, seminars and workshops on environmental issues, and is widely respected for his contributions to creating awareness about environmental issues in Lebanon, Egypt and the GCC countries. He also endorses the issues of environmental sustainability and conservation of natural resources through anchoring the famous TV show ‘Who Wants to be a Millionaire’ as part of his efforts to raise community awareness and encourage people to participate in conservation efforts. EcoWASTE is the leading regional event dedicated to developing sustainable waste management and recycling solutions.
