A minute after the fireworks went off announcing the start of 2015, Wasin was born at Abu Dhabi’s tertiary healthcare facility, Burjeel Hospital. The first baby to be born in 2015, he arrived, weighing in at 3,430 grams, to Mr. and Mrs. Khader, Jordanian nationals living in Abu Dhabi.
The couple’s first child, the parents expressed delight that their child was the first to be born in 2015.
“Mother and baby are doing great and resting. We are thrilled that Wasin was the first baby to be born in 2015 – I am sure he will be excited about the honour too,” said the beaming father, Tariq Khader “We are thankful to the doctors and nurses of Burjeel Hospital, Abu Dhabi for ensuring the safe delivery of our baby boy – this is the best New Year’s gift.”
“Bringing a child into this world any time of the year is extraordinary but giving birth to the first baby of 2015 is extra special,” said Dr. Dr. Fady Georges Hachem, Consultant - Obstetrics and Gynecology of Burjeel Hospital, Abu Dhabi. “Our best wishes go out to the new parents and we wish them happiness and prosperity on the birth of their child.
