The Eighth Sports Activities and Events for the Ministry of Interior’s staff members will commence tomorrow, Sunday. The events, organized by the Police Sports Federation, will continue until January 15.

Several departments affiliated to the General Secretariat of the Office of His Highness Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior will be taking part in the activities, along with departments affiliated to the office of the Undersecretary at the Ministry of Interior; the Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for Naturalization and Residency and Ports Affairs; the Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for Resources and Support Services; the Directorate General of Civil Defense; and the Police College.

The events will include a variety of sports competitions notably: the Five-a-Side and Seven-a-Side Football Tournaments; the Beach Volleyball; the Tug of War Tournament; the Swimming Championship; the Pool Championship; the Pistol Shooting Championship; the Bowling Championship; the Running Championship; the race-walking Championship; the Electronic Football Championship; the Ping-Pong Championship; as well as educational contests; the Chess Championship; and the Fitness and Challenge Championship.

The sports competitions are being held in several places, including Zayed Sports City; the Ministry of Interior’s headquarters; the Police Officers Club in Abu Dhabi; Al Jazira Sports Club; and the Police College.
