During a ceremony held at the Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters, Lt. General HH Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior honored the winners in the third edition of the Ministry of Interior’s Excellence Award in the “Commander Category”; in recognition of their distinguished efforts and achievements.

His Highness handed over the awards to the winning officers, non-commissioned officers, constables, civilians, distinguished work teams, as well as the top achieving and creative staff members from the various departments of the Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters, partners and clients. The ceremony was attended by Major General Khalil Dawood Badran, Director General of Finance and Services; Major General Mohammed bin Al Awadhi Al Menhali, Director General of Human Resources, Head of Quality and Excellence team; Major Dr. General Ahmed Nasser Al Raisi, Director General of Central Operations; Brigadier General Jassem Al Marzouqui, Deputy Director General of Human Resources; Brigadier Omair Al Muhairi, Deputy Director of Police Operations; Brigadier Maktoum Al Shareefi, Director of the Capital Police Directorate; and Brigadier Eng. Hussein Ahmed Al Harithi, Director of Traffic and Patrols Directorate.

The winners of the awards were as follows: Colonel Thani Butti Al Shamesi, from the Directorate General of Human Resources and Colonel Anwar Al Mulla, from the Directorate General of Central Operations, won the Best Leadership Officer Award category; Lieutenant Colonel Rashid Khalaf Al Dhaheri won the “Best Field Officer” Award category; Major Ahmed Mubarak Al Bloushi from  the Directorate General of Police Operations won the “Best Supervision Officer” Award category; Lt. Colonel Dr. Najala’ Asaad Taher, of the Directorate General of Finance and Services, won the “Best Specialized Officer” Award category; Major Muslim Al Junaibi, won the “Best Technical Officer” Award category; and Captain Mubarak Ali Al Sabousi of the Directorate General of Police Operations, won the “Best Administrative Officer” Award category.
