A delegation from the Air Wing Department at Abu Dhabi Police visited CareFlight Group in Australia; which provides training and specialized courses to aviation and medical professionals in various disciplines. The visit comes in line with the Abu Dhabi Police commitment to boosting cooperation, exchanging experiences with international institutions and authorities, and keeping abreast of the latest developments in police and security work.
During the five-day visit, the delegation was acquainted with CAreFlight search and rescue missions; helicopter aeromedical services; air patrolling and thermal imaging duties, in collaboration with Queensland Police.
Honorable Rob Borbidge, member of the Australian Government and RACQ FlightCare Chairman, welcomed the Abu Dhabi Police Air Wing delegation and praised the close and distinguished relations between both countries.
Lieutenant Colonel Pilot Fahed Marhon Al Saadi, Training Branch Manager at the Air Wing Department at Abu Dhabi Police, commended the great strides achieved by Australia in all development fields, especially the successive achievements to upgrade the training and operational processes, in order to provide unique police and security services to the public.
CareFlight Group executives briefed the delegation about the operational and training processes’ workflow, in addition to the latest developments in the areas of training.
Additionally, the delegation visited various operation bases, and reviewed the operational and training processes, as well as the various aircrafts and equipment used at the police airbases. The delegation was also acquainted with the police operations and air patrols that avail advanced thermal imaging and broadcast techniques.
The delegation also checked the devices used on board of the aircrafts operated by the Emergency Management Queensland (EMQ), as well as the main maintenance, research and development center, and the Communication and Coordination Center at the Queensland Government Crises and Disasters Management Complex.
The Abu Dhabi Police Air Wing delegation also carried out a sortie on board of a Learjet and helicopter to inspect the aeromedical staff training locations. The program also included a visit to Bond University, the University of Queensland, and the Australian English Language Center. The delegation, which included Major Eng. Waleed Mohammed Al Raisi from the Air Wing Department, concluded its tours by visiting the Australian Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) and its training center.
