(30 November 2014)

Al Ain Police Directorate organized this morning “Sunday” a public march, with the participation of police authorities, ministries, departments, and governmental and private organizations, as well as a number of citizens and residents in Al Ain City.

The march started from Al Ain Police Directorate Headquarters. It was a patriotic scene that reflected a glorious social cohesion. The march was headed by Brigadier Hamad Ajlan Al Amimi, Director of the Al Ain Police Directorate; Dr. Matar Al Nuaimi, General Manager of Al Ain City Municipality; and a number of officials in the governmental and the private entities, along with some key figures in Al Ain. The participants also included the candidate of Zayed II Military College, who presented a military show, followed by music pieces and a show by the police cavaliers, and traditional songs and anthems.

A number of students from Al Ain Educational Zone and the higher education institutions in Al Ain City participated in the march holding flags and pictures of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, and expressing their loyalty and gratitude to the higher leadership through slogans and hailing the achievements realized by the UAE, which is one of the most prominent countries regionally and internationally.

The march then reached the Municipality of Al Ain, where the participants lined up in front of the flag, and the candidate of Zayed II Military College performed the oath of loyalty in the presence of the huge crowd. The Police Music Band played national music pieces, and then the attendees headed to the Municipality Theater to watch the operetta organized by Residency and Foreigners' Affairs Department in Al Ain, in cooperation with Al Ain Education Zone. Later, the attendees headed towards the hall dedicated to signing the web link of the first Digital Flag initiative in the country, launched by the Ministry of Education and Youth, with the aim to reach to two million signatures.
