Lt. General HH Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior attended today (Sunday) the Bani Yas and surrounding regions’ celebrations of the 43rd UAE National Day. The celebrations took place in the presence of HH Sheikh Hamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Court.
Nearly 10,000 people who attended the celebrations expressed their happiness of the National Day; they also reaffirmed their covenant and loyalty towards the country and its leadership. The celebrations included a recitation of sayings of the Late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. They also included traditional shows and artistic performances such as the Ayala traditional dance and traditional songs that reflected the components and details of the Emirati legacy.
Mubarak Bin Muhairom, Head of the Event’s Higher Committee said that the event was organized with the participation of 40 tribes and clans from Bani Yas and the surrounding regions. The participants shared their happiness on the occasion, and all tribes performed traditional shows reflecting their joy with this national festival.
A group of children performed a show demonstrating how the country was built and the development of both the public and private sectors. They expressed in this show their love for their country and their dreams of a better future. A group of mounted rangers toured the venue holding the UAE flag. The people of Bani Yas expressed their loyalty to the country’s leadership through the pledge of allegiance they cheered during the event.
The ceremony was attended by a number of Sheikhs, tribal leaders, senior officials and key figures of the region, alongside big number of UAE citizens.
