The Federal Community Police Department at the Ministry of Interior has implemented a visits program in a bid to disseminate and boost the Abu Dhabi Police’s experience in applying the Community Police’s policing style, thoughts and work methodology across the UAE. The visits also aim at sharing successful experiences and supporting their implementation.
Lt. Colonel Mubarak Bin Muhairom, Head of Department of Community Police Department, Chairman of the Coordinating Committee at the Community Police and Acting Head of the Federal Community Police Department, underlined that the coordination consultative visit programs carried out by the police leaders in the Northern Emirates, are in response to the directives of the police leadership. “It included visits to the commanders-in-Chief of Sharjah, Ajman, Umm Al Quwain, Ras al Khaimah and Fujairah Police,” he said.
Adding further, Lt. Colonel Mubarak Muhairom noted that during these visits, a number of suggestions and recommendations were submitted to ensure the activation of work teams’ formation in order to provide the necessary human resources and technical support from the specialized departments and sections. “Such visits are also designed to strengthen relations and promote dialogue between police leaders in the different Emirates,” Lt. Colonel Muhairom pointed out.
The Acting Head of the Federal Community Police continued, “The participants highlighted the plans and mechanisms that may be used to achieve the best results. They also tackled the proper ways to engage leaders, committees and relevant members in the decision-making process, in order to better serve and develop police work; upgrade service system basics designed to maintain the public’s security and safety; and promote the community police role in the UAE.”
In conclusion, Lt. Colonel Bin Muhairom indicated that the Community Police officers and staff members were briefed on the proposals submitted to ensure better implementation of the work teams’ tasks and duties, in line with the philosophy and vision of the Community Police.
