The Media and Public Relations Coordination Committee at the Ministry of Interior discussed the annual plan for lectures, seminars, and workshops for the year 2015, in addition to a number of security awareness-related topics and issues that will be achieved in the upcoming period.
The Committee had recently held its sixth meeting for 2014, which was chaired by Colonel Hussein Mahmoud Al Awadi, Acting Head of Public Relations Department and Chairman of the committee at the Dubai Police GHQ. Present at the meeting were Colonel Dr. Jassem Khalil Mirza, Director of Security Awareness at Dubai police and all members from the various police general headquarters across the country.
A number of topics were tackled during the meeting, such as organizing workshops intended for the committee; developing mechanisms to boost participation in mass weddings; reviewing smart application; in addition to the previous meeting’s recommendations. Attendees also reviewed proposals submitted by committee members.
The Chairman and members of the Media and Public Relations Coordination Committee visited the Dubai Police Museum and reviewed the history of fathers and forefathers. They also got acquainted with the old inherited customs and traditions that the UAE society has been renowned for since the beginning of time.
Moreover, they toured the various sections of the museum and were briefed about the general objectives of the exhibition, the displayed items, as well as the symbols and tools that were used and the forefathers’ professions in the past.
