Abu Dhabi Fund for Development (ADFD) today announced the launch of its internal Excellence Award program as part of its priority to develop an organization-wide culture of excellence and encourage a healthy spirit of competition to elevate performance levels across all departments.
The Excellence Award program articulates the strategic vision of the Abu Dhabi government under the directives of His Highness General Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council.
The award will recognize employees in six categories: the excellent administrative employee, the excellent technician, the excellent support employee, the excellent specialist employee, the excellent new employee, and the excellent long-serving employee.
Announcing the launch of the award, His Excellency Mohammed Saif Al Suwaidi, Director General of ADFD, said: “At ADFD, we believe that investing in our human capital is key to achieving our ambitious objectives. This excellence award reflects our commitment to developing our employees’ capacities, skills and knowledge to accelerate their overall performance and departmental efficiency. We are confident the Award will incentivize our employees to develop promising careers at ADFD.”
Abu Dhabi Fund for Development (ADFD) was established in 1971 as a leading national entity to provide development aid to emerging economies in the form of concessionary loans and grants on behalf of the Abu Dhabi government. The Fund also manages the government grants provided by the UAE through direct supervision and follow-up of the implementation and operation of the projects. To date, the Fund has granted and managed more than AED61 billion towards financing 416 development projects in 71 countries around the world.
