With the 2014 Etihad Airways Formula One Abu Dhabi Grand Prix’s biggest sporting event of the year in the UAE, Shangri-La Hotel, Qaryat Al Beri, Abu Dhabi hosted the first ever “F1 Fashion Fever 2014” in partnership with the UK’s leading premium department store House of Fraser on 21 November 2014 at the Plaza Bar, North Beach.

A first in the hotel, ‘F1 Fashion Fever – Empowering Women Through Sports’ was a successful occasion, showcasing a variety of must-see outfits for women and children to wear at a sporting event and other special occasions, featuring unique collections from House of Fraser as well as locally and internationally acclaimed designers. Over 200 people, including prominent personalities in the UAE as well as key stakeholders from various industries, attended the event. In addition, special prizes were given away to the best sporty and elegant outfit (AED 10,000 gift voucher from Maison Hala and “The Indulgence of Time” spa treatment package at CHI, The Spa at Shangri-La) and to the best shoes (a specially handmade scarf or neck piece by Marion Murphy Cooney and “CHI Balance” massage at CHI, The Spa).
