Discover The Heart Of Abu Dhabi’s Heritage And Culture At Yas Marina Circuit This Weekend
(22 November 2014)

Racegoers have an unforgettable weekend ahead of them at the 2014 Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, with a wide variety of on-site entertainment to suit all tastes, ages and interests.

Even those wanting a break from the pulsating track action will have so many activities to choose from, they’re guaranteed to leave Yas Marina Circuit satisfied.

The rich traditions and culture of Abu Dhabi can be explored in the Heritage Village in the North Oasis area. Here, visitors can get involved in traditional Emirati activities such as falconry, local cooking, handicrafts and henna painting.

Further aspects of UAE heritage – including Arabic coffee and dates – will be found in the Majlis lounge in the F1® Village.

Petrol heads should make for the West Oasis where they can enjoy classic car displays and try their hand at the “Pit-Stop Challenge”.

Fancy a day at the beach, F1 style? Head down to South Beach located in the South Oasis, chill out on a sun lounger at Yas Marina Circuit’s very own beach and listen to the sounds of steel drums and reggae from the stage.

At the center of it all is the F1 Village, next to the Main Grandstand, where visitors will find a non-stop, electric line-up of music and dance alongside the F1 Driver Autograph sessions on the Main Stage. The Majlis Arabic Chill-Out area, F1 Gamezone and several new areas will offer further opportunities to relax and soak up the buzz of the event.

Yas Kartzone will also be open throughout the race weekend, exclusively to F1 ticketholders.

A wide variety of restaurants will be serving international and regional cuisine across all the Oasis areas. Anyone feeling peckish can visit the Main Food Village and Main Beverage Garden in the F1® Village, the North Oasis for some local flavors or the West Oasis to grab a burger.
