Mohammed Helal Al-Muhairi, Director General of the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, stated that the organisation of the 2nd International Franchise Conference for the second year in a row comes within the Chamber's efforts to develop and support activities, mechanisms and create an investment and business environment necessary to ensure success of projects.
He added that organising the conference also comes to spread awareness and knowledge in addition to preserving the rights of local investor in the Franchising rights.
Organised by the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the two day 2nd International Franchise Conference kicked off with the participation of more than 160 organisations from 17 countries and a huge number of franchising experts.
The Director General also emphasised that "The second cycle of the conference will focus on encouraging young Emirati entrepreneurs to enter and benefit from Franchising projects and to spread awareness of the system as a tool to develop investments and businesses as well." He pointed out that through the conference the Chamber will work on enhancing the added value to this sector and increase its participation to the gross domestic product.
The exhibition held alongside the conference offers the chance for national entrepreneurs to benefit from the expertise and best practices in the field of Franchise in a way that helps them make their businesses a success and providing all the necessities to ensure the continuity of these projects.
The conference witnessed the participation of a number of national and foreign banks operating in the country which are interested in financing Franchising projects.
Organising the second cycle of the conference comes as a result to the success of last year's conference and the huge participation it witnessed, especially by entrepreneurs, investors and young nationals.
Over the past two decades, the subject of franchise witnessed increasing interest on the global level considering it one of the main methods of supporting and developing small and medium enterprises and offering new opportunities of investment before young entrepreneurs. Franchising works on founding job opportunities and successful small enterprises and offers an integrated working mechanism that covers all the commercial aspects of new projects starting from initiating the project, managing it, selling, marketing and training.
