Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB) celebrated the culmination of breast cancer awareness month by holding its inaugural ADCB Pink Golf event at Saadiyat Beach Golf Club last weekend, 8th November.

The event was the final in a series of events sponsored by ADCB during the month of October, globally recognized as breast cancer awareness month. ADCB highlighted the inaugural Pink Golf event, which will now become an annual fixture for the bank, by generously donating AED 100,000 to Al Jalila Foundation in support of breast cancer awareness.

A grand total of AED 211,285 was raised to Al Jalila Foundation in support of breast cancer during October over the course of various events including the ADCB ZSC Pink Run, ADCB Pink Polo 2014, the ADCB Pink Golf and many other fund and awareness raising initiatives.

On the occasion, Martin Scott, ADCB Executive Vice President & Chief Marketing Officer, said, "ADCB has been an industry leader in driving community programs for some time, especially those around the month of October in support of breast cancer awareness. ADCB Pink Golf is the ideal event for us to celebrate a collective effort of raising awareness and funds for a disease that affects so many. ADCB is proud and fortunate to be in a position to provide support to this important cause. We thank all of our customers, who joined us in this, and all previous events and initiatives."

ADCB Pink Golf welcomed over 90 VIP clients and featured the only golf professional from the UAE, Ahmed Al Musharrekh, among the field of players in support of breast cancer awareness.
