LeasePlan Emirates, a joint venture between Mubadala Development Company and LeasePlan Corporation, the world's leading vehicle leasing and fleet management company, has announced a successful return of their Annual Driver Cup Tournament at Yas Links Abu Dhabi Course. Winners of the friendly Texas Scramble game were Al Taif team, consisting of Mr. Bill Harris; Mr. John Hunter; Mr. Joe Nagel and Mr. Jim Yeager. Runner-ups of the tournament were Mr. Colin Price; Mr. David Campbell and Mr. Abdullah Al Mazrooqi.

In a golf tournament that exceed its inaugural year, the LeasePlan Driver Cup Tournament hosted LeasePlan’s shareholders, VIP corporate partners, suppliers, clients and media guests. Over 90 players participated in the golf tournament, which was formatted in a shotgun-start Texas Best-Ball Scramble that set teams equally against one another regardless of each golfer’s skill level. 

Support from LeasePlan Emirates’ partners helped incorporate a larger field of golfers, more prizes for the participants and greater recognition for the outstanding work a children’s special needs school named Manzil. LeasePlan’s partners for this year’s event included: Mubadala Development Company, Al Futtaim Toyota, Abu Dhabi National Insurance Company, Al Masaood Automobiles, Avis Service Center, Aarya Auto Repair, Swaidan Trading and Al Mazroui & Clevy Auto Repair.

Following the tournament, guests attended a dinner presentation that celebrated the winning teams, presenting them with Driver Cup Trophies and new Titleist golf bags. The dinner also included a speech by Manzil thanking LeasePlan Emirates for their year-long effort to support the students and the school's mission.
