The United Arab Emirates is participating in the preparatory committee meeting for the ministries of interiors of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries. The meeting is to be held in the sisterly country of Kuwait on the 11th and 12th of November in preparation for the 33rd meeting of the GCC interior ministers.
Lt. General Saif Abdullah Al Sha’far, Undersecretary at the Ministry of Interior and the head of a delegation from the ministry, departed for Kuwait yesterday evening in order to participate in the preparatory meeting for the interior ministers of the GCC countries. The preparatory meeting was inaugurated by Lt. General Suleiman Fahad Al-Fahad, the Undersecretary at the Kuwait Ministry of Interior.
The meeting discussed several important issues that contribute to enhancing security cooperation among the GCC countries, in addition to the recommendations decided by the security committees within the framework of security cooperation and coordination among the GCC countries. The appropriate recommendations will be filed before the next meeting of the GCC interior ministers.
The accompanying MoI delegation included Colonel Barakat Yaaqoub Al Kindy; Lieutenant Colonel Dr. Jamal Saif Fares; Lieutenant Colonel Ahmad Muhammad Al Murar; Lieutenant Colonel Ahmed Saeed Al Mazroui, Head of International Cooperation Department at the Ministry of Interior; along with a number of other officers.
