Major-league players from the oil and gas industry today participated in the Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference (ADIPEC) 2014 Golf Day, a fund-raising initiative for cancer patients.
Held in association with the Oil Barons Charity Ball, ADIPEC’s annual charity event, the invite-only tournament took place at the YAS Links Championship Course and featured more than 100 top-level professionals from the industry, including representation from TOTAL, Mubadala Petroleum, GASCO, Baker Hughes, Occidental Petroleum, and Saudi Aramco.
Players also made donations to Friends of Cancer Patients (FOCP), a UAE charity that delivers moral, financial, and clinical support to patients and their families while aiming to create a wide spread awareness about cancer, early detection, and prevention. In the last three years, the Oil Barons Charity Ball has raised more than AED 2 million for FOCP.
