Major General Ahmed Nasser Al Raisi, Director General of Central Operations at Abu Dhabi Police, emphasized the UAE Government’s commitment to ensure the safety of life and property by observing the national response plan in cases of crisis and disasters. This plan is in pursuance of the Ministry of Interior’s mission aimed at safeguarding life and property and boosting readiness and training.
The Director General of Central Operations made these comments during the graduation ceremony of a specialized security course. A total of 10 officers from the Fujairah Police GHQ and Umm Al Quwain Police GHQ attended the two-week course that took place at the Armed Forces Officers Club, Abu Dhabi.
Adding further, Major General Al Raisi underscored the importance of early readiness and boosting the preparedness of police officers, according to the best and advanced international standards and practices. Furthermore, he lauded the efforts of the negotiating team of the Directorate General of Central Operations at the Abu Dhabi Police in organizing this course. He also praised the interaction of participants with the sophisticated program.
For his part, Major Ahmed Nasser Al Kendi, Deputy Director of Crisis and Disaster Management Department at Abu Dhabi Police, indicated that the course focused on acquainting participants with the basic negotiation skills. “Different scenarios were developed to improve performance levels, so as to achieve optimum benefit from the training program, thus allowing the participants to hone and refine their skills and competencies as they carry out their police and security tasks, in accordance with best international standards,” added Al Kendi.
Towards the end of the ceremony, the Director General of Central Operations at Abu Dhabi Police distributed certificates to the graduates.
