The Abu Dhabi Police and the Abu Dhabi General Administration of Customs recently signed, at the Department of Finance, a Memorandum of Understanding on developing security and safety procedures.
The signing was attended by Major General Khalil Dawood Badran, Director General of Finance and Services, at Abu Dhabi Police. The MoU was signed on behalf of the Abu Dhabi Police by Colonel Khamis Musabbah Al Marar, Acting Director of Security and Ports Affairs in Abu Dhabi Police, and by Mohamed Khadem Al Hameli, Deputy Director of Abu Dhabi Customs.
Colonel Al Marar said that the memorandum aims to promote cooperation between both sides by upgrading the standards of security and safety performance, as well as streamlining the travel procedures of both air and land travelers, in accordance with international and national standards.
He added, “Through partnerships with the various sectors of society, the Abu Dhabi Police is keen to reflect the importance of cooperation and coordination, which will benefit the public interest and to emphasize commitment to implement distinguished strategies designed to provide high-end services and achieve the highest levels of quality.”
Colonel Khamis Al Marar commended the cooperation with the General Administration of Customs, and expressed appreciation for the efforts channeled to strengthen the mutual relations.
For his part, Mohamed Khadem Al Hameli praised the strong relations with the Abu Dhabi Police, which promote the provided services and safety procedures. He pointed that the MoU includes exchanging information and opinions between both sides and cooperation in the field of training and rehabilitation.
