The Education Department at the Directorate General of Human Resources, at Abu Dhabi Police, was awarded at the UAE Ideas Conference and Awards 2014 in the category of “Innovation in promoting, encouraging, and empowering UAE citizens”.  The conference, which was organized by the Dubai Quality Group under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed Bin Saeed Al Maktoum, the President of the Department of Civil Aviation, CEO and Chairman of the Emirates Group, and the honorary sponsor of Dubai Quality Group. Held at the Palace Hotel in Dubai, the conference was attended by a number of government leaders and officials alongside the award recipients.  The award was handed to Lieutenant Colonel Khaled Abdullah Al Khouri, Head of the Education Department at the Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters.

Lieutenant Colonel Al Khouri said that the Education Department won this award as an appreciation for its ongoing scholarship programs offered by the UAE, under the unique flag of the union. Pointing out that education is a responsibility to be provided for with global care and interest, he said that the Abu Dhabi Police uphold this responsibility through the concept of the “ongoing scholarship programs offered by the UAE, under the unique flag of the union” which included six creative projects that resulted in 11 graduates.

He added that the tree of “ongoing scholarship programs offered by the UAE” accomplished by the Education Department at the Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters, is a symbolic expression and a sophisticated model, reflecting the honest patriotic emotions of its staff, and simultaneously, their desire and passion to share the effective creative positivity in the efforts of education and development within the UAE community. This also comes as a response to the “Union Tree” initiative, the “United House” initiative, and the “Flag Day” initiative.
