Saif Bin Zayed Discusses With The Australian Minister Of Justice Fostering Relations

Lt. General HH Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, met at the Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters, today (Sunday), Michael Keenan, the Australian Minister of Justice and the accompanying delegation, during a lunch feast that His Highness threw at the honor of the guest and the accompanying delegation.

Both sides discussed means to promote the bilateral cooperation, especially the ties in the judicial and law enforcement fields, including the bilateral treaties between the UAE and Australia in regards to mutual assistance and extradition. They also discussed a number of regional developments, where the issues of security and countering terrorism were the most prominent issues.

The meeting was attended on the Emirati side by Major General Nasser Lakhrebani Al Nuaimi, Secretary General of the Office of HH Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior; Major General Khalifa Hareb Al Khaili, Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of the Interior for Resources and Support Services; Brigadier General Jassem Al Marzouqui, Deputy Director General of Human Resources at Abu Dhabi Police; Brigadier Mansour Ahmed Al Dhaheri, Director General of the Ministry’s Affairs; Brigadier Ali Khalfan Al Dhaheri, Director General of the Headquarters Affairs at Abu Dhabi Police; Brigadier General Dr. Rashid Sultan Al Khodr, Vice Chairman of the Legal Council at the Ministry of Interior; and Colonel Sheikh Mohammad bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Director of Peripheral Regions Directorate.

On the Australian side, the meeting was attended by Andrew Colvin, Commissioner of the Australian Federal Police; Chris Moraitis Secretary of the Attorney-General's Department in Australia; Pablo Kang, the Australian Ambassador to the UAE; Anthony Fox, Liaison Officer of the Australian Federal Police in the UAE; and Lauren O’Neil, Secretary at the Australian Embassy.
