His Excellency Dr. Sheikh Sultan Bin Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Member of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, was impressed with the progress of Falconcity of Wonders when he visited the mega project’s stand during the opening of the 5th Abu Dhabi Real Estate and Investment Show or IREIS 2009 today (January 27).
The presence of Falconcity of Wonders (FCW) and major Abu Dhabi developers at the event boosted the local property industry.
FCW deputy CEO Al Harith Bin Salem Al Moosa said: “The show will be a good time for local as well as regional companies to demonstrate their commitment to their customers. By being present at this exhibition is a strong verification of our professional capabilities.”
IREIS 2009 is now in its 5th year. The exhibition will end on Thursday. Visitors can come from 11:00 am to 8:00 pm at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre.
“Customers will be visiting the exhibition to know where the local market stands given the current situation, especially that a lot of what is happening in the UAE is also a ‘mental scare’ factor. Developers, real-estate agents, contractors, and finance houses have to work side by side with the customers to move towards the same goal that we all have in common. Exhibitions are a very strong indicator of how the market stands. And from what we see today the situation will become better very soon,” Mr. Al Moosa added.
FCW is a purpose-built mega project within Dubailand, featuring structures based on famous sites and the architectural marvels of the world, such as the Pyramids, the Hanging Gardens of Babylon, the Eiffel Tower, the Taj Mahal and the Leaning Tower of Pisa. The city is shaped to represent the falcon, emblematic of the UAE’s heritage.
The project is spread over an area more than 40 million square feet and will combine various commercial, residential, educational and leisure amenities with entertainment facilities, and will include apartments, villas, shopping malls, hotels, restaurants, health clubs and spas, and schools and parks.
