LeasePlan Emirates, a joint venture between Mubadala Development Company and LeasePlan Corporation, the world's leading vehicle leasing and fleet management company, has announced that the 2nd Annual LeasePlan Driver Cup Golf Tournament will take place at YAS Links Golf Club on Saturday November 8, 2014.

Last year’s Driver Cup Tournament received positive reactions from LeasePlan’s shareholders, suppliers, clients and prospects and encouraged LeasePlan Emirates to build on its winning formula.  The golf event format was a friendly Texas Scramble, which is a best-ball competition that equally set teams against one another regardless of each golfer’s skill level.  The spirited golf round was followed by a dinner presentation celebrating not only the winning team, but also acknowledging the outstanding work of two children’s special needs schools, with whom LeasePlan is affiliated.  

Looking forward to the 2nd Annual Driver Cup, LeasePlan is set to incorporate an even larger field of golfers, include more prizes for the participants, and recognize the efforts of another children’s special needs school. 

Commenting on this year’s event, Mr. Hicham Boueri, Commercial Director of LeasePlan Emirates, said, “This year’s tournament is going to exceed last year’s in several ways.  While we are keeping with the same layout, we intend to host more golf enthusiasts from our client, prospect and supplier companies.  We are planning several more giveaways for the best team performance.  And of course, we will again honor and highlight the altruistic work of a charity we have worked with this year.  Our main aim is really for attendees to adore a fun round of golf and enjoy networking with one another, whilst we collectively support a great cause.”

Invitees of the golf tournament include representatives from LeasePlan Emirates’ shareholders, industry suppliers, and a number of private, government and semi-government clients and prospects from all over the UAE.
