The Center of Waste Management - Abu Dhabi (Tadweer) is marking an emphatic participation at the 34th GITEX Technology Week 2014 with a showcase of its latest e-services and smart applications under the slogan ‘Digital Technology for a Better Future’.

As part of Abu Dhabi Systems & Information Centre’s e-government pavilion, a key highlight of Tadweer’s presence at the leading industry event is a new smart application designed to offer convenient mobile services to customers.

Eng. Husain Ahmad Al Amoudi, Head of Licensing Section at Tadweer said: “In our priority to save time and streamline procedures, Tadweer continues to develop innovative solutions and applications that allow our customers to use multiple channels for accessing services and information quickly and conveniently, anytime, anywhere. Our participation at GITEX Technology Week 2014 spotlights Tadweer’s latest e-services and m-services offered to customers through our mobile platform."

“Tadweer’s e-government and m-government initiatives are well aligned with the objectives of Abu Dhabi e-Government program, pioneered by Abu Dhabi Systems & Information Centre. This reflects our commitment to collaborate with all governmental entities towards fulfilling the Abu Dhabi Economic Vision 2030, which seeks to build a knowledge-based economy in the emirate," Al Amoudi added.

Tadweer’s smart mobile application allows customers to instantly access a number of services including Enquiry about Facility, Track Status of Applications, Request Waste Collection, Request Pest Control Service, Locate Tadweer Customer Care Centers, and Enquire about Waste Dumping Sites.

Additionally, Tadweer offers a directory of accredited environmental service providers in Abu Dhabi, including environmental consultants and providers of environmental services.

The Center of Waste Management – Abu Dhabi (Tadweer) has emerged a winner at the Middle East Municipalities Excellence Awards 2014 for promoting excellent leadership practices through leveraging cutting-edge technology. The prestigious award recognizes Tadweer’s achievement in facilitating the seamless migration of conventional government services to an electronic and smart platform.

GITEX Technology Week 2014 runs from October 12 - 16 at Sheikh Saeed Hall in the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.
