The 10th qualifying round of the Xerox Corporate Golf Challenge 2014 will be held on Thursday October 16, 2014, at the Abu Dhabi Golf Club, a 27-hole championship golf course. This qualifier represents the last opportunity for UAE players and teams to compete for a chance to play in the grand finals in Ras Al Khaimah in December 2014. Players and teams can register at www.xeroxcgc.com
Andrew Horne, General Manager Xerox Emirates, said: “We have had a great run with the Xerox Corporate Golf Challenge 2014 in the UAE, with multiple qualifying rounds across Dubai and Abu Dhabi, and the excitement is building for the 2-day grand final in RAK. We invite players to register online for the last qualifier in the UAE, and we are sure that a day’s play at the ever-popular Abu Dhabi Golf Club will be a memorable experience.”
Described as a ‘super course’, the 162 hectares of the Abu Dhabi Golf Club features one of the finest world-class 27-hole championship golfing facilities in the Middle East. Designed by Peter Harradine and home to the PGA European Tour Abu Dhabi HSBC Golf Championship, the course provides a tough but fair challenge, with lush fairways, strategically placed bunkers and generous greens.
In December 2014, the winners from all 12 qualifiers held across the GCC and South Africa will converge in Ras Al Khaimah for the grand finals, with golfing on Tower Links and Al Hamra Golf Clubs, and overnight stay at the Waldorf Astoria.
The 2014 edition of the challenge has been supported by Prestige Wealth Solutions, Skandia International, and long-time partner ECCO.
The Xerox Corporate Golf Challenge is also seeking to help Noor Dubai in their humanitarian outreach programme by sponsoring the cost of one mobile eye camp (US$60,000). This camp is expected to bring up to 500 surgeries and more than 4,000 treatments to patients in a developing country.
