Blood Drive at Al Shabia Police Station In Abu Dhabi

The Capital Police Directorate at Abu Dhabi Police organized a blood drive at Al Shabia Police Station, which witnessed a significant turnout from officers, constables, employees and workers at the station, along with a number of customers. This step embodies the directives of the police leadership to promote social partnership and support humanitarian efforts for the service of society.

Lieutenant Colonel Rashid Khalaf Al Dhaheri, Director of Al Shabia Police Station, hailed the blood drive; noting that blood donation blood is a noble gesture, which helps to achieve the Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters’ strategy of community service.

He added that organizing the campaign at Al Shabia Police Station conveniently located on Al Saadah Street has increased the public’s participation, which indicates their firm belief in such humanitarian efforts, aimed at supporting the blood bank’s stock of platelets, which are used by Thalassemia patients and people injured in car accidents and during surgeries.

Lieutenant Colonel Al Dhaheri added, “Such campaigns reflect the police’s instrumental role during the various social events and humanitarian activities, which is one of the strategic goals Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters.”

Khalifa Medical City’s blood bank employees hailed the blood drives that are periodically organized by the Media and Public Relations Department at the Capital Police Directorate in its three affiliated police stations. They also praised the significant turnout of the police staff members and the public and their eagerness to donate blood.

Lieutenant Colonel Rashid Khalaf Al Dhaheri, Director of Al Shabia Police Station; Major Hamad Al Affari, Head of Operations; Major Nasser Saif Al Nayadi, Head of Crime Affairs; and First Lieutenant Sheikh Ahmed bin Nasser bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Head of Investigations, took part in the blood drive, along with the station’s officers, workers and customers..
