In its fifth meeting for 2014, the Media and Public Relations Coordination Committee at the Ministry of Interior discussed plans to establish a retirees’ office at the ministry’s level, develop mechanisms to boost participation in mass weddings and standardize the committee’s procedures and action plans. The committee also discussed a number of topics and issues that will be achieved in the upcoming period.
The meeting was chaired by Colonel Hussein Mahmoud Al Awadi, Acting Head of Public Relations Department and Chairman of the committee, in his office at the Ministry of Interior’s headquarters. Present at the meeting were Colonel Dr. Jassem Khalil Mirza, Director of Security Awareness at Dubai police and all members from the various police general headquarters across the country.
A number of topics listed on the agenda were tackled during the meeting, in addition to the previous meeting’s recommendations. Attendees also tackled the websites’ policy and reviewed proposals submitted by committee members.
Attendees called for determining the names of coordinators who will oversee the retirees’ initiative and limiting the number of individuals participating in mass weddings from each police headquarter.
