Sheikh Saif Bin Zayed Reviews Saaed’s Performance

Lt. General HH Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior visited Saaed Company for Traffic Systems on Wednesday, to appraise the company's performance level.

His Highness reviewed the work systems, as well as the administrative and operational workflow at the company's headquarters. Moreover, His Highness was given a detailed briefing on field operations, technical systems, development plans, as well the achieved and future projects. The company’s officials gave His Highness an overview of the statistics, performance indicators, speed of response, and pioneering projects implemented by Saaed, such as the ‘smart patrols’ project, fitted with the latest high quality and high-tech systems, and designed to efficiently handle any type of notification.

On the same note, His Highness reviewed the Electronic Federal Vehicle Portal Project “Markabati”. The project is the result of cooperation between the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of Economy and the Insurance Authority. It features several interactive and integrated systems, with vehicles procedures and related processes, and is the first of its kind in the world to offer a full range of comprehensive services, processes and procedures for different types of vehicles under one umbrella.

His Highness toured the company’s various facilities and sections, and was introduced to the work environment and interaction between employees. His Highness praised the Emiratisation rate that amounts to approximately 43%, as well as the adopted development programs to qualify and enhance performance of national cadres. His Highness urged all employees to work continuously and exert further efforts to provide the best levels of service to the public; cater to their needs and earn their trust and satisfaction using all available methods.

His Highness Sheikh Saif called upon the company’s officials to keep taking advantage of the state-of-the-art traffic-related technologies and to further develop all operational processes by establishing a federal database on all minor traffic accidents.

His Highness was accompanied during the tour by Lt. General Saif Abdullah Al Sha’far, Undersecretary at the Ministry of Interior; Major General Mohammed Khalfan Matar Al Rumaithi, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Abu Dhabi Police; Brigadier Ali Khalfan Al Dhaheri, Director General of the Headquarters Affairs at Abu Dhabi Police; Brigadier Mansour Ahmed Ali Al Dhaheri, Director General of the Ministry’s Affairs; Brigadier Omair Al Muhairi, Deputy Director of Police Operations at Abu Dhabi Police; and Brigadier General Jassem Al Marzouqui, Deputy Director General of Human Resources at Abu Dhabi Police. Also present were Brigadier Eng. Hussein Ahmed Al Harithi, Director of Traffic and Patrols Directorate, Chairman of Saaed Company for Traffic Systems; Colonel Mohammed Hamid bin Dalmouj Al Dhaheri, Strategy and Performance Development Director General, the General Secretariat of the Office of H.H Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior; Engineer Ibrahim Ramal, CEO of Saaed Company for Traffic Systems; and a number of officers.

Brigadier Eng. Hussein Ahmed Al Harithi, Director of Traffic and Patrols Directorate and Chairman of Saaed Company for Traffic Systems, highlighted the UAE’s rich and successful experience in the field of traffic safety. He also praised the leading achievements made by this national company in providing excellent services, reducing the average time required to reach the accident scene to 10:35 minutes, and the average time for accident reconstruction to 11:56 minutes. Brigadier Eng. Al Harithi also commended Saaed’s efforts in the reconstruction of minor traffic accidents, which amount to 1,300 accidents daily in Abu Dhabi, Ajman, Fujairah, Ras al Khaimah, Sharjah and Umm Al Quwain, so as to meet the future requirements of the e-Government and the public alike.

Brigadier Eng. Al Harithi and Saeed’s staff expressed their heartfelt appreciation for His Highness’ visit. “It is an incentive for employees to boost the level of the provided services to the best international standards,” he underlined.

Brigadier Eng. Al Harithi indicated that Saeed Company’s patrols are equipped with the latest electronic devices in order to carry out their duties regardless of difficult environmental conditions. “Each patrol vehicle contains (a laptop, a thermal printer, a digital camera, a portable TETRA device), in addition to a display board  designed by the company  to display guidance  messages in English and Arabic, that can be  controlled from inside the patrol vehicle,” he said.

Adding further, he said, “The electronic vehicle portal system “Markabati” is designed to provide an array of electronic services to insurance companies, as well as to vehicle owners and drivers. It aims to ensure easy and speedy completion of transactions through any competent authority; with regard to issuing insurance policies, renewing expired driving licenses, technical inspection, and other services in a way that streamlines transactions and saves time, money, and efforts for  vehicle owners and insurance companies as well”. He also stressed the unwavering commitment to keep abreast of the latest innovations in order to improve the level of services provided by the company.

Elaborating on the company’s future vision, Brigadier Eng. Al Harithi indicated that Saaed’s endeavors diligently to attain its coveted goals; notably to develop and implement an integrated solutions system for vehicle accidents’ management, making it one of the most important references in this area. It also strives to develop and manage industrial areas specialized in vehicles that are supported by reliable technical services and solutions on par with the best international practices. He also noted that Saaed Company seeks to develop and manage integrated and effective solutions designed to improve performance levels of the transport system.
