Jumeirah at Etihad Towers in Abu Dhabi, part of Jumeirah Group, the Dubai-based luxury hotel company and a member of Dubai Holding, is proud to announce it has been accredited with the internationally renowned Green Globe Certification (GGC).
The property was awarded 85% in the initial audit and was praised for having a good sustainability management plan, an excellent health and safety system, effective waste reduction management and excellent training measures in place. Additional factors for the accreditation include effective communication to guests on water and energy saving measures at the hotel, environmental awareness, biodiversity, conservation and information regarding naturally protected areas nearby.
Doris Greif, General Manager, Jumeirah at Etihad Towers, said: "We are delighted to be accredited with this certificate which recognises the concerted steps taken and the dedication both we as a property and Abu Dhabi as a destination have in providing luxury experiences that are responsible and sustainable. Along with our long standing sponsorship and support for local hawksbill turtle rehabilitation and other environmental and social programmes, we acknowledge our role and responsibilities as a global citizen and will continue to contribute in making the world a better place wherever we can."
