The sixth in the annual Tourism Youth Summer Camp has got underway with 77 Emirati students all aged between15-17.

And, for the first time in its history, boys outnumbered girls in the enrolment with 40 young men signing up for the two-week workshop and field trip programme.

The programe provides number of workshops covering a range of topics from culture, hospitality, aviation, tour operations, events, attractions, sports tourism, entertainment and entrepreneurship. Students will also embark on field trips in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain, to hotels and attractions and, for the first time in the programme, a fact-finding back-of-house visit to Abu Dhabi International Airport.
