On the occasion of Eid Al Fitr, Al Ain Zoo will be welcoming guests to experience an exciting array of activities for an unforgettable zoo holiday experience. Visitors of all ages will have the opportunity to discover the zoo’s diverse species, with a collection of around 4,000 animals, 30% of which are considered threatened.
Al Ain Zoo is a major tourism attraction in the UAE. It contributes to the country’s overall touristic offering with its interactive animal exhibits, which allow visitors to experience the animals in large open mixed exhibits that resemble their natural habitat.
Ensuring an unmatched experience, visitors will have the opportunity to experience African wildlife at the zoo’s African Mixed Exhibit designed as an open exhibit, allowing the animals to roam freely in an area of five hectares. Biodiversity fans can visit the Education Centre and the Children’s Zoo where they will experience the beauty of the animals and plants in an area of 2,000 square metres.
Children can enjoy the outdoors and interact with the zoo’s diverse species at the Children’s Zoo, as well as enjoy a number of activities in the family areas.

Al Ain Zoo is located on the UAE-Oman border and is a short drive from UAE’s capital, Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Sharjah and minutes away from Buraimi city in Oman. Al Ain Zoo is one of the city’s leading attractions. Visitors can also venture to the Sheikh Zayed Palace Museum, the former palace of His Highness Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan, which tells the UAE’s cultural story prior to its dramatic development and Jabel Hafeet which rises at 1245 meters with enchanting views of the city in addition to Al Jahili Fort, Al Ain National Museum and other tourist destinations.
