Troon Golf-managed Abu Dhabi Golf Club and Saadiyat Beach Golf Club are giving UAE golfers the exclusive opportunity to train like a pro with the latest TrackMan Radar Technology – the world leader in golf ball flight, swing analysis and club data measurements.
The TrackMan training programmes are available throughout the summer months through group sessions and one-on-one consultations on request.
“The fantastic practice facilities on offer at Abu Dhabi Golf Club and Saadiyat Beach Golf Club, combined with Troon Golf’s holistic approach to golf coaching, enhance the TrackMan experience,” says Head Teaching Professional at Saadiyat Beach Golf Club, Martin Robinson, who has been teaching in the UAE capital’s Troon properties for three years.
“We are using the most sophisticated technology available in the market. TrackMan has set industry standards for accuracy in golf and is used by many of the world’s leading players, including those who have played in Abu Dhabi, like Justin Rose and Rory McIlroy.”
A typical TrackMan lesson will consist of an initial assessment where the teaching professional will examine the golfer’s shots. The technology then captures essential data on the path of the club, the angle of the face, the speed and the direction of the shot. This data and the video recording will then form the basis of the golf lesson, with the instructor giving real-time feedback to make the most of what the technology is revealing.
“The greatest benefit of TrackMan is that we can monitor changes and improvements based on fact, not guess work, the learning curve for the golfer is a lot steeper,” Robinson said.
Abu Dhabi Golf Club and Saadiyat Beach Golf Club will be running TrackMan Test Evenings throughout the Summer, inviting golfers to take a 30 ball test using the cutting edge radar software. A ‘combine’ test is then used to grade players in ball-striking ability and will give each golfer a score out of 100.
