An Abu Dhabi Tourism & Culture Authority (TCA Abu Dhabi)-led initiative to mark the Holy Month of Ramadan has brought the sector’s emirate-wide, local industry together to stage a month-long, consumer focused competition with prizes worth a combined AED250,000 on offer.
Twenty-six tourism stakeholders have weighed into the celebration, which is the third in the annual series, by providing flight tickets, hotel stay vouchers, dinners, spa treatments, gym memberships and attraction entries for the mega prize pool.
“Each day there’s a different prize. This year’s competition differs in that it is more culturally-focussed which we hope will trigger people to research answers,” explained Mouza Al Shamsi, Acting Executive Director Marketing & Communications, TCA Abu Dhabi.
“The choice of questions is highly relevant as Ramadan is an integral part of our Islamic culture.”
People can enter the competition, which is being run in Arabic and English, by logging on to http://competition.visitabudhabi.ae. Entrants will find a range of questions with multiple choice answers and winners will be announced on the award-winning visitabudhabi.ae website daily after random selection among the correct answers. The competition is mobilie-friendly allowing users to enter via their mobile phones.
