Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates, and Alitalia, Partner of Sky Team, have joined forces to support the 'Made of Italians' 2015 tourism program with attractive airfares.

Unveiled today in 14 Italian embassies and consulates around the world as part of Italy's national day 'Festa della Repubblica' celebrations, 'Made of Italians' will encourage thousands of Italians living abroad and foreign citizens of Italian origin to visit Italy throughout 2015.

The initiative is linked to Expo Milano 2015, which takes place in the northern Italian city from 1 May to 31 October 2015.
Peter Baumgartner, Etihad Airways' Chief Commercial Officer, said:  "Italy is an important market for Etihad Airways and 'Made of Italians' is the perfect campaign with which to be associated.

"We look forward to connecting the large overseas Italian communities in Australia, Asia and the Gulf region via our Abu Dhabi hub with friends, family and business partners back in Italy.

"As part of our association with the initiative, Etihad Airways will offer attractive airfares to Italy, making the journey home for Italians and those of Italian origin an unmissable opportunity, and also a great occasion to visit Expo Milano 2015."

To avail of the airfares offered by Etihad Airways and Alitalia, intending visitors need to register with the 'Made of Italians' website from 30 June 2014 onwards at <http://www.madeofitalians.expo2015.org>www.madeofitalians.expo2015.org and purchase a ticket for Expo Milano 2015.

Registered users will receive a 'Made of Italians' Expo Pass which will provide access to a range of promotions offered by both airlines and other program partners.
