Her Excellency Grace R. Princesa, Ambassador of Philippines to the UAE, along with a senior team of officials from the Philippine Embassy, visited the Dalma Mall – a world-class community lifestyle and entertainment destination in Mussafah Abu Dhabi, last week.
The visit was in preparation of the official 116th Philippine Independence Day festivities and celebrations, to be held at Dalma Mall on June 13. HE Grace Princesa also visited the management offices of Dalma Mall, and met Mr Mohammed Al Mazrouei, Member of the Executive Committee, Dalma Mall and Mr Bhupinder Singh, Acting General Manager/ CFO of Dalma Mall.
HE Grace Princesa later toured the ground floor of the mall, which is currently hosting an exhibition by the Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters, Ministry of Interior. During the tour, HE Grace Princesa was accompanied by Mr Al Mazrouei and Mr Singh.
Talking about the initiative, Mr Al Mazrouei said: “We are indeed privileged to be chosen as the official venue for the 116th Philippine Independence Day celebrations by the Embassy of Philippines in Abu Dhabi. It is a matter of great honour to be part of these celebrations. The contribution of Filipinos to the socio-economic growth of the UAE cannot be paralleled and we will work closely with the Embassy to ensure memorable celebrations.”
The Independence Day celebrations, to be held between 1pm and 7pm on June 13 under the patronage and presence of HE Grace Princesa, is expected to offer a wide array of entertainment activities, music, food and spanning all ages, cultures and ethnicities and interspersed with the famed Filipino hospitality.
