26 CICPA Employees Graduate From Security Inspection Course

The Department of Finance (DoF) - Abu Dhabi, represented by the General Administration of Abu Dhabi Customs, celebrated the graduation of the first batch of its Critical Infrastructure & Coastal Protection Authority (CICPA) employees enrolled in a ‘Security Inspection’ course held at the Dusit Thani Abu Dhabi. The course was organised and held by the Training and Capacity Building Department at the Abu Dhabi Customs Academy between the 20 April and the 15 May.

The graduation ceremony, which was organised to honour the 26 employees enrolled in the course, was attended by Abu Bakr Abdul  Rahim Al Fahim, Director of the Training and Capacity Building Department; Saeed Atiq Al Hamely, Director of Support Services Sector at Abu Dhabi Customs; Colonel General  Mohammed Saif Al Sabousi  from the CICPA, in addition to representatives from the General Directorate of Abu Dhabi Police, the Abu Dhabi Judicial Department and a number of  training experts at the Abu Dhabi Customs Academy.

In his speech at the graduation ceremony, Abu Bakr Abdul Rahim Al Fahim, welcomed the participants on behalf of the General Administration of Abu Dhabi Customs and congratulated the graduates on their successful completion of the course, which is the result of valuable cooperation between Abu Dhabi Customs and the Critical Infrastructure & Coastal Protection Authority, as well as Abu Dhabi Customs’ strategic vision to strengthen homeland security and ensure the prosperity of the UAE economy.  Al Fahim also stressed Abu Dhabi Customs’ commitment to developing and improving the skills of its employees through training and instruction, which is one of the UAE leadership’s key objectives.

Al Fahim also praised CICPA graduates enrolled in the ‘Security Inspection’ course and said: “Throughout the four weeks of training, graduates expressed their strong commitment and dedication towards the success of this course. We, at the General Administration of Abu Dhabi Customs wish all the graduates continued success and hope that they will apply the skills and knowledge they’ve acquired during the training course in their work.”

Al Fahim concluded his speech by thanking all the parties which contributed to the success of the course, including the General Directorate of Abu Dhabi Police, the Abu Dhabi Judicial Department and employees of the Abu Dhabi Customs Academy.

Air Marshal Humaid Al Aryan delivered a speech thanking Abu Dhabi Customs and all of those who were involved in organising the course He also emphasised the UAE leadership’s commitment to developing a generation of employees who are capable of safeguarding the safety and security of the country, and ensuring its economic prosperity.     

Towards the end of the closing ceremony, Abu Bakr Abd Al Rahim awarded a General Administration of Customs honorary shield to Colonel General Mohammed Saif Al Sabousi and to Abu Dhabi Police and Abu Dhabi Judicial Department. Appreciation certificates were also presented to Abu Dhabi Customs instructors and the trainees enrolled in the course received their graduation certificates.

The “security inspection” course that was organised by the Training and Capacity Building Department is a result of cooperation between Abu Dhabi Customs and CICPA in addition to the Abu Dhabi police and Abu Dhabi - Judicial Department.
