The National Bank of Abu Dhabi (NBAD) has celebrated120 employeeswho earned professional qualifications in various professional development programmes.
The ceremony, whichwas attended by Alex Thursby, NBAD Group Chief Executive Officer, reflects NBAD’s commitment and investment to ensure continuous development of employees’ skills, and to ensure they possess the most up-to-date knowledge of professional bankers. It also ensures each employee has the chance to develop and achieve career growth.

The certifications and professional qualificationscovered several disciplines such as Credit Risk Management, securities and investment professionals, and other financial markets operations such as trading and ISO operations.
In 2009, NBAD launched its first state-of-the-art Academy. The staff members routinely attend skills-boosting training programmes at the NBAD Academy.
The NBAD Academy delivers a range of programmes aligned to business requirements in partnership with ILM and other leading, internationally-recognised learning institutions.
NBAD promotes the development of its UAE national workforce. It offers a number of development programmes for UAE national graduates that focus on developing leaders of the future for the Bank and the UAE.
