The Roads & Transport Authority announced that in coordination with the Events Committee of the Executive Council, traffic will be diverted in both directions of Jumeirah Road today Monday (1 December) in a sector extending from Dubai Zoo intersection to Union Square intersection. Road diversion will be implemented today from 01.00 pm to 07.00 pm to give way for the procession led by HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Crown Prince and Chairman of the Executive Council marking the 37th UAE National Day.

In association with the General HQ of Dubai Police, RTA completed all procedures and precautions to ease the march of the procession and divert traffic to key subsidiary roads in the area. Due consideration is made in order to avoid intersection between the procession and traffic flow in the area, and avoid any congestion in the area.

To facilitate the movement of the public from and to the starting point of the procession, RTA deployed buses to commute participants. An assembly point has been set near Emergency Administration beside Emirates Bank at Jumeirah Road.

RTA is keen to provide all requirements and precautions to maintain the safety of participants in the procession as well as road users in the whole area, out of its vision to provide safe and smooth transport for all. Every one has to be cautious in driving and moving in the area of the procession as well as the surrounding roads in order to avoid accidents and traffic congestions.
